Visa for Highly Qualified Professionals and for Intra-Company Transfers

Highly Qualified Professional Visa: A visa for working in Spain as a highly qualified professional, a company executive who meets certain conditions established by current legislation, or as a graduate or postgraduate student at universities and business schools of recognized prestige.

Intra-Company Transfer: A visa for working in Spain as a manager, specialist, or intern, to fulfill a contract or maintain professional relationships, when the transfer is within the same company or group of companies.

The following family members of the employee are also eligible for a visa:

  • Spouse or common-law partner.
  • Minor children and adult children who are financially dependent on the employee and who have not formed their own family.
  • Relatives in the ascending line who are dependent on the employee.

Procedure

This Consulate in Moscow is authorized to accept visa applications from individuals residing within the consular district.

  • Applicant Requirements: The visa application must be submitted in person by the applicant. If the applicant is a minor, the application may be submitted by one of the parents or guardians.
  • Visa Application Deadline: The visa application must be submitted within one month, starting from the day following the day applicant receives resident permit.
  • Submission of Additional Documents: The Consular Section may request missing documents from the applicant or provide additional documents or information necessary to process the application. It may also summon the applicant for an in-person interview.
  • Decision Making Time: The statutory deadline for making a decision is 10 days from the day following the day the application is submitted directly to the Consulate General.
  • Visa Collection: The visa must be collected in person by the applicant. The visa approval notification will indicate the deadline and time of issue.
  • Visa Refusal: In the event of a visa refusal, notification will always be in writing, stating the reasons on which the decision is based.
  • Appeal: In the event of a visa refusal, the applicant may file an appeal for review of the decision with the Consular Post within one month from the day following the day of receipt of the refusal notification. They may also file an administrative appeal with the Supreme Court of Madrid within two months from the day following the day of receipt of the visa refusal notification or the rejection of the appeal for review.

Visa Validity: The visa is valid for one year or for the same period as the issued residence permit, provided the latter is less than one year.

The visa confirms residence in Spain for its entire validity period, so obtaining a foreigner's identity card is not required. However, such a card can be requested from the Foreigners' Office or the relevant police station.

  • Payments are accepted only in uzbek sum (UZS).
  • There are no preferential categories. Each applicant, regardless of social status, pays visa and service fees.
  • "The value in SUM is subject to changes associated with fluctuations in the exchange rate (euro/uzs)".
  • When applying for a visa through the BLS Visa Application Center the service fee of the Visa Application Center is additionally charged 250,000 UZS, VAT included.

  • National visa application form. The applicant must complete all sections and sign the visa application form. If the applicant is a minor, the form must be signed by one of their parents or guardians, or a duly authorized representative.
  • Photograph. Two color photographs against a white background, taken full-face, without sunglasses, glare, or clothing obscuring the oval of the face.
  • Valid Passport. You must provide the original and a full photocopy of all current passports, including the one used to submit the application. The passport must be valid for at least one year and have two blank pages. Passports issued more than 10 years ago will not be accepted. Citizens of the Russian Federation must provide the original and a full copy of their internal passport.
  • Residence permit. Original and a copy of the permit issued by the Large Enterprises and Strategic Groups department.
  • Certificate of no criminal record. Applicants over 18 years of age must provide the original and a copy of a certificate of no criminal record issued by their country or countries of residence within the last two years. In addition, a certified statement of no criminal record for the last five years must be provided. This document must be translated and legalized. Certificates issued in the Russian Federation, Belarus, Armenia, and Uzbekistan must be affixed with a Hague Apostille. Certificates issued in Turkmenistan must be signed by a diplomatic representative of the relevant consulate in the Russian Federation.
    Certificates of no criminal record must be affixed with a Hague Apostille. However, if the certificate is issued to a citizen of the European Union by the authorities of the Member State of which they are a citizen, an apostille is not required. You can find a list of countries that have signed the Hague Convention.
    If the applicant's country of residence for the last five years is not a party to the 1961 Hague Convention, the certificate of no criminal record must be certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuing country and then by the Spanish consulate in that country. The certificate of no criminal record must be accompanied by a translation into Spanish (if the original is not in Spanish). The translation must be completed by a sworn translator or legalized by the consulate.
  • Proof of residence within the consular district. Visa applications may be submitted by citizens and legal residents of the consular district in which they reside. Proof of residence may be submitted by:
    • Citizen of the Russian Federation. Internal passport.
    • Citizens of other countries under our jurisdiction. International passport.
    • Citizens of other countries residing within our consular district. Residence permit.
  • Proof of identity and legal capacity of the representative If the visa is being processed through a representative, a copy of the representative's identity card or passport, as well as a power of attorney or document confirming representation, must be provided. The original documents must be presented when submitting the application. If the document is issued in a language other than Spanish, it must be accompanied by a Spanish translation. This translation must be performed by a sworn translator or legalized at the consulate.
  • Payment of the visa fee. The visa fee is mandatory and must be paid upon submission of the application. Fees are paid in local currency and are regularly updated depending on exchange rate fluctuations.

Documents required for family members.

Each family member accompanying the worker must provide the following information:

  • All requirements specified in sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8. If applicable, also section 7. For minors, the visa application must be signed by one of their parents or a duly accredited representative.
  • Documents proving the family relationship with the worker: birth or marriage certificates issued by the Civil Registry Office, civil partnership certificate, or any other document proving the relationship as an unregistered partner. A translation of the document into Spanish must also be provided; this translation must be done by a sworn translator or legalized by the consulate.
  • For adult children, documents proving their economic dependence and family status are required. A translation of the document into Spanish must also be provided; this translation must be done by a sworn translator or legalized by the consulate. • In the case of ascendants, documents confirming their dependence on the worker must be provided. If necessary, to evaluate the application, the consular section may request additional documents or information and may invite the applicant for an in-person interview.

Photo Specifications

Please, submit your Application form with the new photo format, as explained below:

  • The photograph MUST be in colour and have only a white background.
  • The photograph must have been taken within the last six months.
  • The photograph must be submitted glued to the application form.
  • The photo submitted must measure: 3.5 cms x 4.5 cms with the head centred in the frame. The head (measured from the top of the hair to the bottom of the chin) should measure about 3 cms.
  • The photograph must be a full-face front view in which the visa applicant is facing the camera directly.
  • In general, the applicant's head, including both face and hair, should be shown from the crown of the head to the tip of the chin on top and bottom and from hairline side-to-side. It is preferable that ears be exposed.
